Is using thermometer strips for the aquarium better than using the submerged one?
for my new aquarium
Many people dislike the strips. They are not known for being the most reliable method.
I prefer to use a regular old glass thermometer stuck to the glass. It is easily removed and very accurate.

Lake level is at 1,062 1/2 feet, up 1 ½ feet from last week. Fish are mainly in the 15-30 feet range during the day and can be in 10-15 feet of water after dark. Minnows under floats, jigs tipped with minnows and 1/16-1/8 ounce jigs with blue, green or white bodies are popular. Fish can be found during the day with crank-baits, jigs and soft plastics are all catching fish. Breaking fish can be found late in the day and are hitting top-water lures, jigs and Rat-L-Traps cast to the breaks. Rat-L-Traps, medium running shad-colored crank-baits, white spinner-baits, flukes and trick worms are also catching fish. Fish are being caught against rocky banks in 3-10 feet of water. Fish are being found 5-15 feet deep. Fish are 20-30 feet deep. Full pool 1,073 feet. Night-time fishing is back. Points and humps have been fished heavily.
